Nobody here works on commission and nobody is reading from a script. Whoever answers has a soldering iron within reach, which is why we are slower than a chat widget and better at the actual question.
Hanna sorts the inbox at 09:00 and 16:00. Repair questions go to Tomasz, buying questions to Marta, trade-ins to Piotr. You get a reply from the person who will actually do the work.
If a unit is already with us, put the job number from your receipt in the first line and we can answer in one message instead of three.
// THE COUNTER
ul. Rusalka 12, 20-103 Lublin. Go through the archway beside the bakery, cross the yard, and it is the yellow door with the extractor fan. Trolleybus 150 stops at Zamkowa, two minutes away, and there is free parking in the yard for four cars.
The counter is open Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 to 19:00, and closed on Sunday and Monday because those are the two days the benches run without interruption. Anything you leave with us on a Saturday gets looked at first thing Monday.
// DIRECT LINES
Phone +48 81 447 20 16 between 11:00 and 18:00 — Hanna picks up unless both benches are running a soak. Email bench@coldbootsynthworks.pl at any hour and expect an answer inside one working day, usually the same afternoon.
For a repair we need the unit in front of us before we can quote, so book a drop-off slot rather than describing it down the phone. Courier it to the same address if Lublin is far: we unbox on camera and send you the footage with the quote.
Book a slot and bring it to the counter, or send it double-boxed. We log it, photograph it from six angles and give you a job number the same day it lands.
FREEDiagnosis is 90 zl and comes off the bill if you go ahead. The quote names the parts and the hours and does not move afterwards — if we were wrong, that is our problem, not yours.
90 zlBench rate is 180 zl an hour. Everything that leaves gets the same two-hour soak as a unit we sell, plus twelve months of warranty on the specific repair.
180 zl / h// QUERY LOG · REPAIRS
About three weeks from drop-off to hand-back, and we tell you the real figure when we log the job rather than an optimistic one. Units bought from us jump the queue to roughly one week, warranty or not, for as long as you own them.
Yes, and most of our bench time is exactly that. Anything analogue with a power supply and a signal path is fair game — synthesisers, pedals, organs, tape echoes, mixers. What we turn away is digital gear with a dead custom chip, because there is no honest fix and we will not charge you to discover that.
We say so in the quote and give you the market figure we are comparing against. Then you can walk away for the 90 zl diagnosis, sell us the unit as parts, or go ahead anyway because it was your grandfather's. All three are normal and we do not push one over another.
Not at the bench — it is a small room with hot irons and open chassis. What we do instead is photograph every stage and send the set with the invoice, and on Thursday afternoons anyone who asks can stand at the counter and watch a soak run from the other side of the glass.
We do, and dead is fine. Send three photographs — front, back and inside if the lid comes off — plus the serial number, and you get a figure within two working days. A non-working unit is usually worth 15 to 30 per cent of its working value to us, paid by transfer the day it arrives.
